In today’s culture, not having some protection against the high cost of health care can be crippling, and many families have faced bankruptcies because of it! Staying as healthy as you can is one way of staying ahead of the game, but illnesses and accidents do happen and its best to have a plan!
Years ago, you had to work for a large corporation or at best a company with many employees to get a terrific benefits package. Thankfully, today things have changed, and a benefits package is easily and affordably within your reach, even if you’re self employed or a 1099 employee! (Only time will tell if the Health Care Reform bill that was passed will be a benefit or a detriment!)
Presently, we have group plans for 2 employees and up, individual plans that business owners can list bill and have their employees pay for with pre-tax dollars (which saves both them and YOU employment tax dollars!) If you’re Self Employed, a 1099 employee or Individual or family, we can cover you, too!

COVENTRY ONE has affordable Major Medical health insurance rates and very nice benefits! The PPO is large, and the co-pays on prescriptions, office visits and the ER give you 1st dollar benefits! Coventry One is a great value, and most people are quite impressed with their rates and benefits!
LaCHIP is a health insurance program for children. There are income guidelines for FREE or low cost ($50/month for all children in the home) health insurance. Many times, being able to use LaCHIP for their children’s healthcare, gives parents or grandparents the opportunity to afford a better policy for themselves. Colonial Voluntary Benefits are very inexpensive and fill in the GAPS that Major Medical plans don’t cover such as time missed from work, travel expenses, deductibles and co-insurance, co-pays, etc. These benefits are paid directly to the insured to do whatever they want with, whether or not they have other insurance in place. We have Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness, Short Term Disability, the Bridge Plan (pays your deductible) and Term, Whole and Universal Life Policies. These are voluntarily paid for by the employee through payroll deduction and cost the employer nothing. However, it can and does save them money on major medical premiums and payroll taxes.
Many people REALLY don’t understand that everyone cannot get health insurance due to pre-existing conditions, height and weight guidelines or cost. If you have pre-existing conditions, we have:
La Health Plan, our Louisiana HIGH RISK POOL Insurance plan for people who have been declined by traditional health insurance companies because of pre-existing conditions or weight and height issues. It is considered Major Medical insurance and has higher rates and limits than the mini medical plans.
Get Med 360, our Guaranteed Issue Mini Medical policy. It is NOT Major Medical, but offers coverage that normally would not be available to people with Pre-Existing Conditions. It’s a comprehensive, limited benefits policy and has a large PPO that can to help with your medical expenses, including prescriptions, office visits, in patient and out patient benefits.
* Important Note: If you’re currently insured and have serious pre-existing conditions, it would not be in your best interest to drop your current major medical insurance! If you do not have insurance and would like coverage to help with your expenses, we can definitely help you. The only time we suggest the Mini-Medicals are if you simply cannot afford to keep your current major medical policy and planned to drop it because of the expense or are currently uninsured or under-insured.
